Casa Pangea began from coming back to visit my family after 12 years in Colombia. With a background in Knitwear design I got interested in the knitted bags I saw in people on the streets, the Wayuu bags. I got even more fascinated when I started doing the research for all the details.

These bags are made from the Wayuu indigenous in a region called La Guajira. I decided to visit this place to meet the artisan and found out every single bag is different, even if you wish to replicate an existing design due to each of them it made by hand by different people and they have slightly different way on doing them.

During this reseach also found two more types of handcraft, one made by Arhuacos in La Sierra Nevada and the other one by the Zenu in Cordoba.
